देहरादून – 27 जनवरी 2025: देश के अग्रणी सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंक, पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (पीएनबी) ने रविवार को अपने मुख्यालय में 76वां गणतंत्र दिवस बड़े उत्साह और उमंग के साथ मनाया। समारोह की शुरुआत पीएनबी के प्रबंध निदेशक एवं सीईओ श्री अशोक चंद्र द्वारा बैंक के कार्यपालक निदेशकों, सीवीओ, सीजीएम और वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने के साथ हुई।
इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए, पीएनबी के एमडी एवं सीईओ श्री अशोक चंद्र ने कहा, “76वें गणतंत्र दिवस के इस महत्वपूर्ण अवसर पर, मैं प्रत्येक भारतीय को हार्दिक बधाई देता हूं। स्वतंत्रता की हमारी यात्रा को याद करते हुए, हम उस ऐतिहासिक क्षण को नमन करते हैं जब भारत ने डॉ. बी.आर. अंबेडकर के दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व में 1949 में देश के लिए एक संविधान का निर्माण किया, जिसने हमारी संप्रभुता और मौलिक अधिकारों की नींव रखी। आज, जब हम अपने नायकों के बलिदान और सीमाओं की रक्षा करने वाले अपने सैनिकों की वीरता का सम्मान करते हैं, तो हमें यह भी संकल्प लेना चाहिए कि 2047 तक, जब हम स्वतंत्रता के 100 वर्ष मनाएँगे, एक विकसित भारत का निर्माण करेंगे।
अविकसित से विकासशील राष्ट्र तक की हमारी यात्रा हमें अब एक दृढ़ संकल्पित मार्ग पर ले जा रही है, जहाँ 2047 तक हमारा सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (GDP) $30 ट्रिलियन तक पहुँचने का अनुमान है। यह परिवर्तनकारी यात्रा सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों, विशेषकर पंजाब नेशनल बैंक, के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाने का अवसर प्रदान करती है। हमारी 65% जनसंख्या ग्रामीण और अर्ध-शहरी क्षेत्रों में निवास करती है और इनमें से कई अभी भी असंगठित ऋण प्रणालियों पर निर्भर हैं। ऐसे में हमें यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कदम उठाने चाहिए कि हर भारतीय को वित्तीय समावेशन का लाभ मिले।
पीएम विश्वकर्मा योजना, पीएम स्वनिधि जैसे अभियानों और उत्तर एवं उत्तर-पूर्व भारत में हमारे मजबूत नेटवर्क का लाभ उठाते हुए, हम इन अंतरालों को कम कर सकते हैं और अंतिम छोर तक सस्ती वित्तीय सेवाएँ पहुँचा सकते हैं। मैं पूरे पीएनबी परिवार से आग्रह करता हूँ कि वे हर घर में वित्तीय समावेशन की संस्कृति विकसित करने का संकल्प लें और विकसित भारत की रूपरेखा को सशक्त बनाने के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को मजबूत करें। आइए, मिलकर एक ऐसे भारत का निर्माण करें जहाँ प्रत्येक नागरिक को समान अवसर और संसाधनों की पहुँच हो, जिससे हमारे पूर्वजों के दृष्टिकोण और आने वाली पीढ़ियों की आकांक्षाओं को पूरा किया जा सके।”
इसके अतिरिक्त, बैंक की वरिष्ठ महिला अधिकारियों और वरिष्ठ बैंक अधिकारियों की पत्नियों के संगठन पीएनबी प्रेरणा के सहयोग से पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (PNB) ने इस्कॉन द्वारका को 750 हैप्पीनेस किट्स और हैप्पी मील्स का वितरण जरूरतमंद बच्चों के लिए किया। बैंक ने राहगिरी फाउंडेशन के साथ मिलकर “नो हॉर्निंग” अभियान को भी प्रोत्साहित किया। दिल्ली-एनसीआर क्षेत्र में कैंसर रोगियों को दैनिक आवश्यकता में सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए बैंक ने कैन-सपोर्ट के साथ साझेदारी की। महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य और पोषण को बेहतर बनाने के लिए पीएनबी ने परिचय फाउंडेशन के साथ मिलकर “प्रोजेक्ट पोषण” के तहत विभिन्न पहल कीं। सड़क सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए, बैंक ने हेलमेट मैन फाउंडेशन के सहयोग से देशभर में हेलमेट का वितरण किया। साथ ही, ऑरो-मिरा सर्विस सोसाइटी द्वारा संचालित ऑरो-मिरा विद्या मंदिर की सहायता से आठ बच्चों की शिक्षा में सहयोग किया इसके अतिरिक्त, चौधरी फाउंडेशन के साथ मिलकर जरूरतमंद बच्चों को कंप्यूटर भी वितरित किए ।
समारोह में पीएनबी परिवार के सदस्यों द्वारा जीवंत सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां भी शामिल थीं, जिसने इस पर उत्सव भावना बढ़ाने में योगदान किया।
