ऑनलाइन मनी गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म पर नया कानून लागू

नई दिल्ली: भारत सरकार ने ऑनलाइन मनी गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म पर नया कानून लागू कर दिया है। इस कानून के तहत ऐसे सभी प्लेटफॉर्म जो ऑनलाइन मनी गेमिंग सेवाएं प्रदान करते हैं, उनके संचालन पर रोक लग जाएगी।

नए कानून के अनुसार, इन प्लेटफॉर्म को चलाने वाले लोगों को तीन साल तक की जेल और एक करोड़ रुपये तक का जुर्माना लगाया जा सकेगा। वहीं, जो भी व्यक्ति इन प्लेटफॉर्म का प्रचार करेगा, उसे दो साल की जेल और 50 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना भुगतना होगा।

गौरतलब है कि हाल ही तक कई भारतीय क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी जैसे एमएस धोनी, रोहित शर्मा, विराट कोहली, सूर्यकुमार यादव और सुरेश रैना इन ऑनलाइन मनी गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म्स के विज्ञापन करते रहे हैं। इनमें से कुछ खिलाड़ियों को पहले ही ED द्वारा नोटिस भेजे जा चुके हैं।

लेकिन नए कानून के लागू होने के साथ यह साफ कर दिया गया है कि पुराने विज्ञापनों के लिए खिलाड़ियों को कोई सजा नहीं होगी, क्योंकि नियम 22 अगस्त 2025 से ही प्रभाव में आए हैं।
केंद्रीय इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि ऑनलाइन मनी गेमिंग की वजह से लोग अपनी पूरी कमाई खो रहे हैं। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी इस कानून का समर्थन करते हुए कहा कि यह बिल ई-स्पोर्ट्स को बढ़ावा देगा और समाज को ऑनलाइन गेम्स के हानिकारक प्रभावों से बचाएगा।

कानून लागू होने के बाद ड्रीम11, विनजो जैसे कई ऑनलाइन गेमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म्स ने अपनी सेवाएं बंद करने की घोषणा कर दी है। अब से कोई भी व्यक्ति यदि इस तरह का गेम बनाता है या प्रचार करता है, तो उसके खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
