राज्य ने मातृ स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति दर्ज की है। भारत में मातृ मृत्यु पर विशेष बुलेटिन के अनुसार, उत्तराखण्ड का मातृ मृत्यु अनुपात (MMR) 2020–22 में 104 से घटकर 2021–23 में 91 पर आ गया है। विगत वर्षों में 13 अंकों की कमी और मातृ मृत्यु में 12.5 प्रतिशत की गिरावट दर्ज हुई है।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इस उपलब्धि पर कहा कि यह राज्य सरकार की समर्पित नीतियों, स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों के अथक प्रयासों और सामुदायिक सहभागिता का परिणाम है। उन्होंने मातृ स्वास्थ्य को और मजबूत बनाने के लिए सतत प्रयास जारी रखने का संकल्प दोहराया।
