विशेष 5.0 अभियान के अंतर्गत एम्स, ऋषिकेश के तत्वावधान में “एक पेड़ मां के नाम” थीम पर एक सार्थक पौधरोपण अभियान का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान संस्थान की निदेशक प्रोफेसर (डॉ.) मीनू सिंह, डीन अकादमिक प्रो. जया चतुर्वेदी और चिकित्सा अधीक्षक प्रो. बी. सत्याश्री ने संस्थान के बी व सी ब्लॉक (रोगी कैंटीन के समीपवर्ती बाहरी क्षेत्र) में औषधीय गुणों और आध्यात्मिक महत्व के पौधों का रोपण किया।
बताया गया कि रोपे गए विभिन्न प्रजातियों के औषधीय व धार्मिक महत्व के पौधे माताओं के प्रति एक जीवंत श्रद्धांजलि और एक हरित, स्वच्छ भविष्य के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता का प्रतीक हैं।
कहा गया कि यह पौधरोपण अभियान न केवल एम्स संस्थान परिसर के हरित आवरण को बढ़ाने में योगदान देता है, बल्कि स्वच्छता, स्थिरता और सामुदायिक भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देने के अभियान के व्यापक लक्ष्यों के अनुरूप भी है।
यह अभियान एक सहयोगात्मक प्रयास है, जो पूरे भारत में नागरिकों को पेड़ लगाने और उन्हें प्रकृति से जोड़ने, सामुदायिक भागीदारी को प्रोत्साहित करने और पर्यावरण की देखभाल के महत्व को समझने के लिए प्रेरित करता है। लिहाजा धरा को हरियाली से आच्छादित करने व पर्यावरण संवर्धन की इस पहल में अपनी भूमिका सुनिश्चित कर एम्स संस्थान पर्यावरण संरक्षण और भावी पीढ़ी को स्वच्छ पर्यावरणीय वातावरण मुहैया कराने को अपनी प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि करता है।
