नवी मुंबई के डीवाई पाटिल स्टेडियम में गुरुवार 19 दिसंबर की शाम ऋचा घोष का ये तूफान देखने को मिला, ऋचा ने 3 चौके और 5 छक्के की मदद से सिर्फ 18 गेंद में अपना दूसरा अर्धशतक जमाया। यह भारत के लिए सबसे तेज अर्धशतक है साथ ही महिला टी20 इंटरनेशनल में सबसे तेज फिफ्टी के रिकॉर्ड की बराबरी भी है।
ऋचा 54 रन बनाकर आउट हुआ इस दौरान उनका साथ दे रही युवा बल्लेबाज राघवी बिष्ट के साथ सिर्फ 22 गेंदों में 31 रन बनाये और दोनों ने 32 गेंदों में 70 रन की विस्फोटक साझेदारी की। राघवी ने पिछले मैच में ही डेब्यू किया है और उनकी बल्लेबाजी काफी अच्छी रही उन्होंने अपनी बल्लेबाजी से सभी को प्रभावित किया। इसके दम पर टीम इंडिया ने 20 ओवर में सिर्फ 4 विकेट खोकर 217 रन बनाए, जो टी20 इंटरनेशनल में भारतीय टीम का अब सबसे बड़ा स्कोर है। इससे पहले टीम इंडिया ने यूएई के खिलाफ इसी साल 201 रन बनाए थे।
ऋचा और राघवी से पहले टीम इंडिया को यहां तक पहुंचाने में बड़ी भूमिका स्टार ओपनर मंधाना की रही, जो हरमनप्रीत कौर की गैरहाजिरी में टीम की कप्तानी भी कर रही हैं। मंधाना ने 28 गेंदों में तूफानी अर्धशतक जमाया और सिर्फ 47 गेंदों में 77 रन बनाकर लौटीं। इस पारी के साथ ही वो महिला टी20 इंटरनेशनल में सबसे ज्यादा 30 बार 50 या उससे ज्यादा के स्कोर बनाने वाली बल्लेबाज भी बन गईं। उनके साथ ही जेमिमा रॉड्रिग्ज ने भी 28 गेंदों में 39 रन बनाए।
