38वें राष्ट्रीय खेल में वेटलिफ्टिंग स्पर्धाओं ने खेल प्रेमियों को रोमांचित कर दिया। कई एथलीट्स ने अपने दमदार प्रदर्शन से नए रिकॉर्ड बनाए और पदक तालिका में अपना स्थान सुनिश्चित किया।

महिला 81 किग्रा वर्ग में चंडीगढ़ की वंशिता वर्मा ने कुल 208 किग्रा (स्नैच – 93 किग्रा, क्लीन एंड जर्क – 115 किग्रा) उठाकर स्वर्ण पदक जीता। पंजाब की मनप्रीत ने 197 किग्रा (स्नैच – 85 किग्रा, क्लीन एंड जर्क – 112 किग्रा) के साथ रजत पदक हासिल किया, जबकि केरल की अंजना श्रीजित 196 किग्रा उठाकर कांस्य पदक जीतने में सफल रहीं।

महिला 87 किग्रा वर्ग में तमिलनाडु की अरोक्या अलीश ने कुल 221 किग्रा भार उठाकर स्वर्ण पदक अपने नाम किया। असम की मोधुस्मृता बरुआ ने 208 किग्रा के साथ रजत और कर्नाटक की उषा ने 197 किग्रा भार उठाकर कांस्य पदक जीता।

पुरुष 102 किग्रा वर्ग में महाराष्ट्र के वैशव शाहाजी ठाकुर ने 160 किग्रा स्नैच उठाकर राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड तोड़ा, हालांकि सर्विसेज के जगदीश विश्वकर्मा ने कुल प्रदर्शन में बाज़ी मारते हुए स्वर्ण पदक जीता। वैशव को रजत पदक मिला, जबकि हरियाणा के हर्षित सेहरावत ने 329 किग्रा भार उठाकर कांस्य पदक हासिल किया।

वैशव ने अपनी खुशी व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, “हम सभी जगदीश भैया को देखकर बड़े हुए हैं। उनका रिकॉर्ड तोड़ना मेरे लिए किसी सपने से कम नहीं है। हालांकि, उन्होंने कुल भार में मुझसे बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया, लेकिन आज का दिन मेरे लिए खास रहेगा।”

इस पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए जगदीश ने कहा, “मैं हमेशा युवाओं को कहता हूं कि पदकों से ज्यादा रिकॉर्ड तोड़ने पर ध्यान दो। वैशव ने आज यह कर दिखाया, लेकिन मैं अभी रुका नहीं हूं – यह मुझे और प्रेरित करेगा!”

पुरुष 109 किग्रा वर्ग में राजस्थान के हरचरण सिंह ने दमदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए कुल 347 किग्रा (स्नैच – 160 किग्रा, क्लीन एंड जर्क – 187 किग्रा) उठाकर स्वर्ण पदक जीता। सर्विसेज के मोहम्मद जामीर हुसैन 337 किग्रा के साथ रजत पदक विजेता बने। हरियाणा के मनीष ने क्लीन एंड जर्क में 193 किग्रा का राष्ट्रीय रिकॉर्ड बनाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन असफल रहे और कुल 331 किग्रा भार के साथ कांस्य पदक पर संतोष करना पड़ा।

38वें राष्ट्रीय खेल में वेटलिफ्टिंग प्रतियोगिता ने भारत के उभरते हुए टैलेंट को मंच दिया, जहां खिलाड़ियों ने अपनी कड़ी मेहनत और प्रतिबद्धता का प्रदर्शन करते हुए नए कीर्तिमान स्थापित किए।
