मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी को गणतंत्र दिवस की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए भारत विकास परिषद का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा राष्ट्रगीत वंदे मातरम के सामूहिक गायन से हृदय में राष्ट्रप्रेम की ज्वाला और अधिक बढ़ जाती है। हमारा राष्ट्र विविध प्रकार के संप्रदायों, जातियों, भाषाओं, परंपराओं एवं संस्कृतियों से परिपूर्ण है। 26 जनवरी 1950 को लागू हुआ हमारा संविधान इन सभी अनेकताओं को एकता के सूत्र में पिरोकर देश के नागरिकों में राष्ट्रप्रथम की भावना जागृत करता है। संविधान ने हमें कई अधिकार दिए हैं, जिससे हमारा हमारा देश सबसे बड़े लोकतांत्रित देश में रूप में जाना जाता है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कल का दिन सभी के लिए ऐतिहासिक दिन होने वाला है। कल उत्तराखंड राज्य में समान नागरिक संहिता का कानून लागू होने पर वाला है, जो सभी के लिए गर्व की बात है। समान नागरिक की यह गंगा उत्तराखंड से पूरे देश में जायेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आज का दिन, संविधान निर्माताओं और माँ भारती को गुलामी की बेड़ियों से मुक्त कराने वाले स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों एवं आंदोलनकारियों को याद करने एवं उनसे प्रेरणा लेने का दिन है। उन्होंने कहा प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के कुशल नेतृत्व में हमारा देश आगामी 2047 तक विकसित राष्ट्र के रूप में स्थापित होने की ओर अग्रसर है। भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था विश्व की पांचवी सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था बन चुकी है और तीसरी बनने की ओर अग्रसर है। भारत शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, विज्ञान, शोध और विनिर्माण आदि के क्षेत्र में विश्व के बड़े-बड़े देशों को पीछे छोड़ते हुए आगे बढ़ रहा है। भारतीय सेना को पहले से और अधिक मजबूत हुई है।भारत का कद वैश्विक स्तर पर भी तेजी से बढ़ रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में भारतवर्ष विश्व के एक प्रमुख सांस्कृतिक केंद्र के रूप में अपनी पहचान पुनर्स्थापित कर रहा है। वर्तमान में प्रयागराज के त्रिवेणी संगम पर विश्व का सबसे बड़ा सांस्कृतिक समागम महाकुंभ आयोजित हो रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री के दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व में भारतीय न्याय व्यवस्था में तीन नए कानून “भारतीय न्याय संहिता, भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता और भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम“ को लागू करने का ऐतिहासिक कार्य भी किया गया है। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी के सहयोग एवं मार्गदर्शन में राज्य सरकार उत्तराखंड के चहुंमुखी विकास के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। सरकार, रजत जयंती वर्ष में उत्तराखंड को भारत का एक अग्रणी राज्य बनाने का लक्ष्य लेकर दिन-रात कार्य कर रही है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा राज्य में सड़क, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, पेयजल एवं हवाई कनेक्टिविटी सहित सभी महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों से जुड़े इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को तेजी से मजबूत किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा सभी राज्यवासियों के लिए गर्व की बात है कि आगामी 28 जनवरी से हमारी देवभूमि में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में 38वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों का भव्य शुभारंभ होने जा रहा है। राज्य सरकार ने खेल अवस्थापना एवं सुविधा निर्माण पर लगभग 500 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किए हैं। राज्य में GDP की तर्ज पर GEP का भी आंकलन किया जा रहा है। महिलाओं को राज्य में 30 प्रतिशत आरक्षण, राज्य आंदोलनकारियों के लिए 10 प्रतिशत आरक्षण लागू किया गया है। राज्य में धर्मांतरण विरोधी कानूनी, दंगा विरोधी कानून, देश का सबसे कड़ा नकल विरोधी कानून भी लागू किया गया है।
