मुख्यमंत्री ने कोटी कॉलोनी में आयोजित टिहरी लेक फेस्टिवल का विधिवत उद्घाटन करने के बाद वहां लगे विभिन्न स्टॉलों का निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने आईटीबीपी के जवानों से भी मुलाकात की। इसके बाद वह टिहरी झील पहुंचे और स्वयं विभिन्न गतिविधियों में भाग लेकर फेस्टिवल का प्रचार-प्रसार किया। बोटिंग के दौरान उनके साथ कैबिनेट मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल, विधायक किशोर उपाध्याय, विनोद कंडारी और शक्तिलाल शाह सहित अन्य जनप्रतिनिधि भी मौजूद रहे।

पहाड़ी व्यंजनों का लिया स्वाद, महिलाओं को किया प्रोत्साहित
कोटी कॉलोनी स्थित आयोजन स्थल पर मुख्यमंत्री ने पहाड़ी व्यंजनों का भी स्वाद लिया। यहां महिलाओं की रामलीला समिति द्वारा “पहाड़ी घर” नाम से आकर्षक स्टॉल लगाया गया था, जहां पारंपरिक पहाड़ी व्यंजन परोसे जा रहे थे। मुख्यमंत्री ने लाल चावल, भट्ट की चुटकाणी और झंगोरे की खीर का स्वाद लिया और उनकी सराहना की। समिति से जुड़ी रचना उनियाल ने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री ने उनके प्रयासों की प्रशंसा करते हुए समिति को प्रोत्साहित किया ।
