देहरादून, मां को जन्म देने वाले बेटे ही जब उसके लिए भय का कारण बन जाएं और एक विधवा मां हर रात जान के डर में जीने को मजबूर हो जाए, तब जिला प्रशासन उसके लिए सुरक्षा कवच बनकर खड़ा हुआ। बंजारावाला क्षेत्र की विधवा मां विजय लक्ष्मी पंवार अपने ही बेटों की प्रताड़ना, मारपीट और जान से मारने की धमकियों से परेशान होकर जिलाधिकारी से गुहार लगाने पहुंची थीं।
शिकायत को गंभीरता से लेते हुए जिला प्रशासन ने मामले की गोपनीय जांच कराई। पड़ोसियों और जनप्रतिनिधियों से प्राप्त तथ्यों ने मां की पीड़ा की पुष्टि की। इसके बाद प्रशासन ने दोनों बेटों के विरुद्ध गुंडा नियंत्रण अधिनियम के तहत कार्रवाई प्रारम्भ की। कानूनी शिकंजा कसते ही राह से भटके बेटों को पहली बार अपनी मां के प्रति जिम्मेदारी और कर्तव्यों का एहसास हुआ।
कार्रवाई के बाद दोनों बेटों ने न्यायालय में अपनी मां से क्षमा याचना की तथा नशा छोड़ने और भविष्य में किसी भी प्रकार की हिंसा या दुर्व्यवहार न करने का शपथ पत्र दिया। जिला प्रशासन की सख्ती और कानून के भय ने बेटों के व्यवहार में स्पष्ट सुधार लाया। न्यायालय ने स्थिति में सुधार को देखते हुए आगे की कार्रवाई समाप्त कर दी।
जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल ने स्पष्ट शब्दों में कहा कि महिलाओं, विधवाओं एवं निर्बल वर्ग के उत्पीड़न पर जिला प्रशासन की ‘जीरो टॉलरेंस’ नीति है। भविष्य में यदि ऐसी किसी भी घटना की पुनरावृत्ति होती है तो दोषियों के विरुद्ध कड़ी से कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
जिला प्रशासन की इस सख्त और संवेदनशील पहल से न केवल एक विधवा मां को सुरक्षा मिली, बल्कि समाज को यह संदेश भी गया कि कानून से ऊपर कोई नहीं और मां का सम्मान सर्वोपरि है।
