अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स) ऋषिकेश में विश्व आघात सप्ताह विधिवत शुरू हो गया। इस अवसर पर एम्स की निदेशक प्रोफेसर (डॉ.) मीनू सिंह जी ने ट्रॉमा सेंटर के विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. (डॉ) कमर आजम एवं डॉ. मधुर उनियाल जी के संचालन में ट्रॉमा रथ को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया ।
गौरतलब है कि उत्तराखंड प्रदेश की भौगोलिक स्थिति के मद्देनजर आए दिन बढ़ रही आपदाएं और सड़क दुर्घटनाओं से बचाव प्रशिक्षण हेतु
विश्व आघात सप्ताह प्रतिवर्ष 11 से 17 अक्टूबर तक मनाया जाता है। इसके अंतर्गत लोगों को सड़क दुर्घटनाओं एवं आपात स्थितियों में त्वरित ट्रॉमा प्रबंधन, प्राथमिक उपचार और जीवनरक्षा की जानकारी दी जाती है ।
बताया गया है कि ट्रॉमा रथ एम्स की ट्रॉमा टीम के साथ विभिन्न विद्यालयों, कॉलेजों, अस्पतालों और अन्य विभागों में पहुंचेगा,वहां टीम आमजन को यह प्रशिक्षण देगी कि ट्रॉमा की स्थिति में तत्काल क्या कदम उठाने चाहिए और कैसे समय रहते किसी दुर्घटना ग्रसित व्यक्ति की जान बचाई जा सकती है।
कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य समाज में आघात प्रबंधन के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना और दुर्घटनाओं में होने वाली मृत्यु दर को कम करना है।
