उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री के निर्देशों के अनुपालन में उन्होंने कमेड़ा से बद्रीनाथ तक सड़क, बिजली, पानी और अन्य बुनियादी सुविधाओं का स्थलीय निरीक्षण किया है। सभी विभागों को निर्देशित किया गया है कि वे 25 अप्रैल तक अपनी समस्त तैयारियाँ पूर्ण करें।

डॉ. राजेश कुमार ने विशेष रूप से नंदप्रयाग, कमेड़ा और पागलनाला में आगामी 15 से 20 दिनों के भीतर प्रोटेक्शन वर्क व डामरीकरण कार्य पूर्ण करने तथा नंदप्रयाग के पार्थाडीप में पुरानी गैबियन वॉल पर कार्य शुरू करने के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही उन्होंने जोगीधारा में सड़क किनारे मौजूद बड़े पत्थरों को एक सप्ताह के भीतर हटाने और हाथीपहाड़ के पास गैबियन वॉल का निर्माण जून माह तक पूर्ण करने को कहा। उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री और मुख्य सचिव स्वयं चारधाम यात्रा की तैयारियों की निरंतर मॉनिटरिंग कर रहे हैं। इस वर्ष की यात्रा को “हरित चारधाम” के रूप में आगे बढ़ाया जा रहा है, जिसके तहत सिंगल यूज़ प्लास्टिक पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध लागू किया गया है। सभी विभागों को इसके लिए डिस्पोजल प्लान तैयार करने को कहा गया है।
