देहरादून। जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल ने नगर निगम की वर्षों पुरानी कार्यप्रणाली में बदलाव किया है। उन्होंने मुख्य नगर स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी से उनके मूल कार्यों के अलावा अन्य कामों को तत्काल प्रभाव से हटा दिया है। हटाए गए कामों को अब उप नगर आयुक्त के जिम्मे होंगे।

मंगलवार को डीएम सविन बंसल ने मुख्य नगर स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी से सफाई व्यवस्था एवं मॉनिटिरिंग, कूड़ा उठान, कूड़ा वाहन संचालन, फॉगिंग, कार्य सत्यापन आदि कामों को हटा दिया है। अब वह अपने मूल कार्य स्वास्थ्य विभाग से समन्वय, शहरी क्षेत्र में डेंगू-मलेरिया रोकथाम, सर्विलांस, स्वास्थ्य जोखिम आंकलन की जिम्मेदारी ही संभालेंगे। उनके पास से हटाए गए कामों को अब उप नगर आयुक्त द्वारा देखा जाएगा।

जिलाधिकारी नगर निगम के सफाई कार्यों की स्वयं मॉनिटिरिंग कर रहे हैं, उन्होंने कूड़ा उठान की लचर व्यवस्था पर गहरी नाराजगी व्यक्त की थी। बताया गया कि यह काम उप नगर आयुक्त के हैं, जिन्हें जनपद में वर्षों से नगर स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी देख रहे थे। डीएम ने इन कामों में पारदर्शिता के निर्देश भी दिए हैं।

जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल कार्यभार ग्रहण करते ही एक्शन मोड़ में नजर आ रहे है। शहर की सफाई व्यवस्था को लेकर उनकी गंभीरता का अंदाजा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि वे पदभार ग्रहण करने के ही दिन से जनमानस से सम्बन्धित विषयों पर त्वरित कार्यवाही कर रहे हैं। कार्यभार ग्रहण करने के दूसरे ही दिन 06 सितम्बर को देर शाम नगर निगम पंहुचकर सफाई व्यवस्थाओं को लेकर अधिकारियों को तलब किया। कूड़ा निस्तारण कार्यों की समीक्षा करते हुए अनुबन्धित कम्पनियों को कार्य प्रवृत्ति में सुधार लाने हेतु 45 दिन की मोहलत दी है। स्पष्ट चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि कार्यों में लापरवाही बरतने वालों पर कड़ी कार्यवाही की जाएगी।
