मंगलवार को डीएम सविन बंसल ने मुख्य नगर स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी से सफाई व्यवस्था एवं मॉनिटिरिंग, कूड़ा उठान, कूड़ा वाहन संचालन, फॉगिंग, कार्य सत्यापन आदि कामों को हटा दिया है। अब वह अपने मूल कार्य स्वास्थ्य विभाग से समन्वय, शहरी क्षेत्र में डेंगू-मलेरिया रोकथाम, सर्विलांस, स्वास्थ्य जोखिम आंकलन की जिम्मेदारी ही संभालेंगे। उनके पास से हटाए गए कामों को अब उप नगर आयुक्त द्वारा देखा जाएगा।

जिलाधिकारी नगर निगम के सफाई कार्यों की स्वयं मॉनिटिरिंग कर रहे हैं, उन्होंने कूड़ा उठान की लचर व्यवस्था पर गहरी नाराजगी व्यक्त की थी। बताया गया कि यह काम उप नगर आयुक्त के हैं, जिन्हें जनपद में वर्षों से नगर स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी देख रहे थे। डीएम ने इन कामों में पारदर्शिता के निर्देश भी दिए हैं।
