उत्तराखंड के वरिष्ठ लेखक नवीन जोशी को रविवार को मुजफ्फरपुर (बिहार) में 15वां अयोध्या प्रसाद खत्री स्मृति सम्मान से नवाजा गया। उन्हें यह सम्मान उनके उपन्यास देवभूमि डेवलपर्स के लिए दिया गया।
यह उपन्यास उत्तराखंड की भूमि पर नेताओं, ठेकेदारों और बिचौलियों के सहयोग से कॉर्पोरेट्स द्वारा कब्जा जमाने की कहानी को प्रस्तुत करता है। इसमें जन- आंदोलनों और उनके आंतरिक अंतर्विरोधों को भी प्रभावशाली ढंग से उजागर किया गया है।
सम्मान के तौर पर उन्हें प्रशस्ति- पत्र, मोमेंटो और 21 हजार की राशि प्रदान की गयी. प्रशस्ति- पत्र का वाचन मनोज कुमार वर्मा ने किया। सम्मान मिलने के बाद नवीन जोशी ने कहा कि खड़ी बोली हिंदी के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले अयोध्या प्रसाद खत्री के नाम पर सम्मान मिलना बहुत गर्व की बात है।
उन्होंने देवभूमि डेवलपर्स उपन्यास की जमीन पर विस्तार से चर्चा की। देवभूमि डेवलपर्स इन्हीं विषयों को लेकर लिखा गया है। उत्तराखंड की महिलाओं ने जानवरों के चारे, चूल्हे की लकड़ी और पानी के लिए जिन तकलीफों को झेला है, उसे उपन्यास में स्थान दिया गया है।

मुख्य वक्ता कहानीकार अवधेश प्रीत ने देवभूमि डेवलपर्स उपन्यास पर विस्तृत रूप से अपनी बात रखी, उन्होंने कहा कि यह उपन्यास जनसंघर्षों का दस्तावेज है। इस उपन्यास के सभी पात्र यथार्थ से जुड़े हैं। यहां होने वाले आंदोलन को मीडिया में जगह नहीं मिलती थी।
नैनीताल समाचार ही था, जो जनसंघर्षों की खबरें प्रकाशित किया करता था। पर्वतीय समाज के साथ सरकार द्वारा बार- बार दुर्व्यवहार ने आंदोलन की जमीन तैयार की और उत्तराखंड की मांग बढ़ने लगी। उत्तराखंड के संघर्षों की पूरी कहानी इस उपन्यास में है। इसे बहुत शोध के साथ लिखा गया है। लोगों को उजाड़ना ही विकास है क्या, यही उपन्यास का संदर्भ है। अयोध्या प्रसाद खत्री स्मृति समिति के अध्यक्ष डॉ रवींद्र कुमार रवि ने खत्री स्मृति सम्मान पर अपनी बात रखी। धन्यवाद ज्ञापन कामेश्वर प्रसाद दिनेश ने किया।
उत्तराखंड परिवर्तन पार्टी के केंद्रीय अध्यक्ष पी सी तिवारी ने नवीन जोशी को यह पुरस्कार मिलने पर बधाई दी और कहा कि उनका यह उपन्यास उत्तराखंड में हुए सभी आंदोलनों का साक्षी है।
