पहलगाम आतंकी हमले के बाद हुए ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के बाद उत्तराखंड आने वाले पर्यटकों और तीर्थ यात्रियों की संख्या में भी गिरावट दर्ज की गई थी। केदारनाथ-बदरीनाथ सहित उत्तराखंड के चारों धामों में भी भक्तजनों की संख्या में भी कमी देखी गई थी। लेकिन, भारत-पाकिस्तान के बीच सीजफायर की घोषणा के बाद पर्यटकों और श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या में इजाफा होने लगा है।
यूपी के सहारनपुर, मुरादाबाद, मेरठ, मुज्जफरनगर, बिजनौर सहित दिल्ली-एनसीआर, हरियाणा सहित अन्य पड़ोसी राज्यों से पर्यटक भारी संख्या में उत्तराखंड पहुंच रहे हैं। उत्तराखंड में नैनीताल, हल्द्वानी, मसूरी, हरिद्वार, ऋषिकेश आदि टूरिस्ट स्पॉटों में पर्यटकों की संख्या में इजाफा होने लगा है।
नैनीताल, मसूरी, हरिद्वार और आसपास क्षेत्रों के पर्यटन कारोबार को राहत मिलने की उम्मीद है। टूरिस्ट स्पॉटों में पर्यटकों की भीड़ देखने को मिली। नैनीताल जू, हिमालयन बॉटनिकल गार्डन, वुडलैंड वाटरफॉल, जीरो प्वाइंट, माल रोड में पर्यटक दिनभर चहलकदमी करते दिखाई दिए। नौकायन का लुत्फ लेने को भी भीड़ उमड़ी।
अप्रैल तीसरे सप्ताह से नैनीताल की ओर पर्यटकों का आना कम होने लगा था। मई की शुरुआत में शहर में घटना के बाद होटल, होम स्टे करीब खाली हो गए थे। हालांकि, रविवार को पर्यटकों की संख्या बढ़ने से व्यापारियों ने राहत की सांस ली।
