गंगोत्री और यमुनोत्री धाम के कपाट बंद होने की तिथि घोषित की गई है। गंगोत्री धाम के कपाट दो नवंबर को शीतकाल के लिए बंद हो जाएंगे। अन्नकूट पर्व के अभिजीत मुहूर्त पर दोपहर 1214 बजे धाम के पट बंद होने के बाद मां गंगा के दर्शन, उनके शीतकालीन प्रवास मुखबा गांव में होंगे।
वहीं भैया दूज के पावन पर्व पर 3 नवंबर को अभिजित मुहूर्त में 12 बजकर 5 मिनट पर मकर लग्न अनुराधा नक्षत्र एवं सौभाग्य योग में मां यमुना जी के कपाट शीतकाल के लिए बंद दिये जाएंगे। इसके बाद देश विदेश से आने वाले श्रद्धालु मां यमुना के दर्शन उनके शीतकालीन प्रवास खुशीमठ में कर सकेंगे तथा 6 महीने बाद अक्षय तृतीया के पावन पर्व पर मां यमुना के कपाट ग्रीष्मकल के लिए पुनः खोल दिए जाएंगे बता दें कि इसी दिन केदारनाथ मंदिर के कपाट भी बंद होंगे।
