पौड़ी गढ़वाल के पठोल गांव के मूल निवासी आनंद प्रकाश बडोला तटरक्षक के अपर महानिदेशक बनाए गए हैं। उन्हें बीते वर्ष गणतंत्र दिवस पर विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति तटरक्षक पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया था। इससे पूर्व वर्ष 2021 में भी तटरक्षक मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में आयोजित अलंकरण समारोह में रक्षामंत्री की ओर से उन्हें मेधावी सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति तटरक्षक पदक से नवाजा गया।
आनंद प्रकाश बडोला ने विकास नगर देहरादून और एसजीआरआर कॉलेज देहरादून से पढ़ाई की है वे वर्ष 1990 में वह भारतीय तटरक्षक में शामिल हुए। नौचालन एवं निर्देशन विशेषज्ञ बडोला ने प्रतिष्ठित यूएस नेवल स्टाफ महाविद्यालय न्यूपोर्ट यूएसए में भी अध्ययन किया। मई 2017 में फ्लैग रैंक पर पदोन्नत होने पर उन्होंने तटरक्षक पूर्वी और पश्चिमी तटों के मुख्यालयों में चीफ ऑफ स्टाफ के रूप में कार्य किया।
तटरक्षक मुख्यालय में उप महानिदेशक (पॉलिसी एवम योजना) में कार्यरत रहे बडोला ने 35 वर्ष के कार्यकाल के दौरान पूर्वी और पश्चिमी क्षेत्र के तट रक्षक कमांडर के अलावा विभिन्न श्रेणी में पोतों की कमान संभाली। समर्पित सेवा के लिए प्राप्त पदकों से वह विभूषित सशस्त्र बल अधिकारियों के संघ में शामिल हो गए हैं। उनकी पत्नी नीलिमा बडोला एवं दो बेटे करण और अर्जुन हैं।
