राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस के अवसर पर जिला सूचना कार्यालय में जनपद के प्रेस प्रतिनिधियों के साथ एक गोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर उपस्थित मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों ने प्रेस की बदलती प्रकृति विषय पर अपने विचार व्यक्त किए।
आयोजित कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए वरिष्ठ पत्रकार रमेश पहाड़ी ने सभी को राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस की बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि आज का दिन मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों को आपसी विचार साझा करने का मंच प्रदान करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के बदलते परिवेश में पत्रकारों की जिम्मेदारी और अधिक बढ़ जाती है तथा सभी को समाज के प्रगति एवं उन्नति के लिए आपसी समन्वय के साथ अपनी जिम्मेदारियों का निर्वहन करना है।
वरिष्ठ पत्रकार श्याल लाल सुंदरियाल ने प्रेस की बदलती प्रकृति विषय पर अपने संबोधन में कहा कि लोकतंत्र में पूर्व से ही सामाजिक व्यवस्थाएं बनी हुई हैं। स्वस्थ व सौहार्द पूर्ण समाज में मीडिया की अहम भूमिका होती है इसलिए सभी को निष्पक्ष पत्रकारिता करनी चाहिए। उन्होंने बदलते दौर में पत्रकारों की भूमिका को चुनौतीपूर्ण बताया है।
वरिष्ठ पत्रकार विनय बहुगुणा ने बदलते दौर में पत्रकारिता की विश्वसनीयता पर उठने वाले सवालों पर चिंता जाहिर करते हुए कहा कि खबरों को प्रकाशित करने से पूर्व उसकी प्रमाणिकता की जानी आवश्यक है ताकि गलत खबर प्रकाशित न होने पाए।
वरिष्ठ पत्रकार देवेंद्र चमोली ने कहा कि वर्तमान दौर में समाचार पत्रों का महत्व कम हो रहा है तथा सोशल मीडिया के प्रति लोगों का ज्यादा रुझान हो रहा है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि कई बार ऐसी खबरें प्रकाशित हो जाती हैं जिसमें सत्यता कुछ और होती है तथा दिखाया और जाता है जिससे कि भ्रम की स्थिति उत्पन्न हो जाती है। इसके लिए यह भी जरूरी है कि प्रमाणिक खबरों का ही प्रसारण सुनिश्चित हो।
गोष्ठी के अंत में प्र. जिला सूचना अधिकारी रती लाल शाह ने सभी पत्रकार साथियों को *राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस* की बधाई व शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि प्रति वर्ष 16 नवंबर को *राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस* का आयोजन किया जाता है तथा विभिन्न विषयों पर चर्चा की जाती है। इस वर्ष भारतीय प्रेस परिषद द्वारा *प्रेस की बदलती प्रकृति विषय* गोष्ठी का आयोजन करने के निर्देश प्राप्त हुए हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि आज के परिवेश में प्रेस की प्रकृति में काफी बदलाव हुआ है तथा इलेक्ट्राॅनिक एवं सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से किसी भी घटना एवं किसी कार्यक्रम की जानकारी त्वरित उपलब्ध हो जाती है किन्तु कई बार गलत सूचना भी सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से प्रचारित-प्रसारित हो जाती है जिसका काफी गलत असर भी पड़ता है। इसके लिए सभी प्रेस प्रतिनिधियों को खबरों को प्रकाशित करने से पूर्व इसकी प्रमाणिकता पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिए जाने की जरूरत है।
उन्होंने सभी प्रेस प्रतिनिधियों से अपेक्षा की है कि वर्तमान में केदारनाथ विधान सभा का उप निर्वाचन का प्रचार-प्रसार किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने सभी प्रेस प्रतिनिधियों से अपेक्षा की है कि फेक न्यूज एवं पेड न्यूज का विशेष ध्यान रखें तथा किसी भी तरह की फेक न्यूज एवं पेड न्यूज को प्रचारित-प्रचारित न किया जाए।
इस अवसर पर प्रेस क्लब के अध्यक्ष बृजेश भट्ट, बद्री नौटियाल, पंकज नेगी, विक्रम कप्रवाण, रवींद्र कप्रवाण, सूचना विभाग के सहायक लेखाकार नितिश फरासी, डाटा एंट्री ऑपरेटर राकेश नौटियाल, दीपक गोस्वामी, आनंद सिंह बिष्ट, भुवनेश नेगी आदि मौजूद रहे।
