मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से बुधवार को नई दिल्ली में लार्सन एंड टुब्रो (L&T) के प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस अवसर पर प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने प्रदेश में हाल ही में हुई प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से प्रभावित लोगों की सहायता एवं राहत-पुनर्वास कार्यों में सहयोग हेतु ₹5 करोड़ (पांच करोड़ रुपये) की सहायता राशि मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष में प्रदान की।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने एल.एंड.टी. के इस सराहनीय सहयोग के लिए कंपनी के प्रतिनिधियों का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि संकट की घड़ी में कॉर्पोरेट सेक्टर का यह योगदान राज्य सरकार के लिए बड़ी सहायता साबित होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार लगातार आपदा प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में राहत, पुनर्वास एवं पुनर्निर्माण के कार्यों को प्राथमिकता के साथ कर रही है। ऐसे में निजी क्षेत्र की सहभागिता से इन कार्यों में और तेजी आएगी तथा प्रभावित लोगों को शीघ्र राहत पहुंचाई जा सकेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड एक आपदा संवेदनशील राज्य है, जहां भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों के कारण समय-समय पर प्राकृतिक आपदाओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। राज्य सरकार ने आपदा प्रबंधन को सुदृढ़ बनाने और राहत तंत्र को और अधिक सक्षम करने के लिए कई ठोस कदम उठाए हैं।
