अपर जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि शौर्य दिवस पर समस्त कार्यक्रम गांधी पार्क, देहरादून में आयोजित किए जाएंगे। इस अवसर पर शहीद हुए जवानों के परिजनों, वीरांगनाओं और माताओं को मा0 मुख्यमंत्री सम्मानित करेंगे। उन्होंने सैनिक कल्याण एवं परिवहन अधिकारी को कारगिल शहीद परिवार के आश्रितों, पूर्व सैनिकों को कार्यक्रम स्थल पर लाने ले जाने हेतु समुचित व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करने के दिए। नगर निगम को कार्यक्रम स्थल एवं आस पास सड़क एवं प्रमुख मार्गाे पर विशेष साफ सफाई, मोबाइल टॉयलेट एवं अन्य व्यवस्थाएं करने के निर्देश दिए। एसपी ट्रैफिक को वाहनों की पार्किंग एवं यातायात को सुचारू बनाए रखने को कहा। सैनिक कल्याण विभाग को कार्यक्रम स्थल पर टैंट, वैरिकेडिंग, सीटिंग, स्टेज, सजावट, पेयजल की इत्यादि की व्यवस्था मानकों के अनुसार सुनिश्चित की जाए। साथ ही सैनिक कल्याण अधिकारी को निर्देश दिए कि शौर्य दिवस पर दो राज्यसभा, दो लोकसभा एवं दस विधान सभा सदस्य, जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष, मेयर नगर निगम देहरादून को विशेष रूप से कार्यक्रम में आमंत्रित किया जाए।
अपर जिलाधिकारी ने शौर्य दिवस से एक दिन पूर्व 25 जुलाई की सायं 5 बजे से प्रमुख चौराहों पर देश भक्ति गीतों का प्रसारण के साथ ही कार्यक्रम में सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों की प्रस्तुति तैयार करने हेतु संस्कृति विभाग को निर्देश दिए। शिक्षा विभाग को स्कूलों में जूनियर वर्ग में पेंटिंग एवं सीनियर वर्ग में निबंध प्रतियोगिता आयोजित कराते हुए विजेताओं की सूची कार्यक्रम स्थल पर उपलब्ध कराने को कहा ताकि विजेता छात्रों को कार्यक्रम के दौरान पुरस्कृत किया जा सके।
