उत्तराखंड के रेल यात्रियों के लिए राहत भरी खबर है — रेल मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने देहरादून–टनकपुर एक्सप्रेस (15019/15020) की सेवा आवृत्ति को साप्ताहिक से बढ़ाकर त्रि-साप्ताहिक (तीन दिन) करने की स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी है। इस संबंध में रेल मंत्रालय ने आदेश जारी कर दिया है |

मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी की 08 अक्टूबर 2025 को नई दिल्ली में माननीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव से हुई मुलाकात के दौरान इस विषय पर विस्तृत चर्चा हुई थी। मुख्यमंत्री के आग्रह पर रेल मंत्रालय ने शीघ्र कार्रवाई करते हुए टनकपुर–देहरादून रेल सेवा को सप्ताह में तीन बार चलाने की स्वीकृति प्रदान की है।

नई समय सारिणी के अनुसार 15019 देहरादून–टनकपुर एक्सप्रेस अब बुधवार, शुक्रवार और रविवार को चलेगी।
(पूर्व में केवल रविवार को चलती थी) 15020 टनकपुर–देहरादून एक्सप्रेस अब मंगलवार, गुरुवार और शनिवार को चलेगी। (पूर्व में केवल शनिवार को चलती थी)

प्रदेशवासियों को मिलेगी बड़ी सुविधा

यह सेवा वृद्धि यात्रियों की बढ़ती मांग और क्षेत्रीय कनेक्टिविटी को ध्यान में रखते हुए की गई है। रेल मंत्रालय ने उत्तराखंड के यात्रियों की सुविधा को प्राथमिकता देते हुए इस निर्णय को शीघ्र प्रभाव से लागू करने का निर्देश दिया है।

मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इस निर्णय के लिए रेल मंत्री एवं रेलवे बोर्ड का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा “ *देहरादून–टनकपुर रेल सेवा के विस्तार से कुमाऊँ और गढ़वाल के बीच आवागमन और अधिक सुगम होगा। यह न केवल यात्रियों की सुविधा बढ़ाएगा, बल्कि व्यापार, पर्यटन और क्षेत्रीय विकास को भी नई गति देगा।”*

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में उत्तराखंड में रेल कनेक्टिविटी को सुदृढ़ करने की दिशा में ऐतिहासिक कार्य हो रहे हैं। राज्य के कई हिस्सों में रेल परियोजनाओं पर तेजी से काम जारी है, जिससे आने वाले समय में पर्वतीय और सीमांत क्षेत्रों तक रेल संपर्क सुनिश्चित होगा।

रेल मंत्रालय के संयुक्त निदेशक (कोचिंग) विवेक कुमार सिन्हा द्वारा जारी आदेश में कहा गया है कि इस निर्णय को शीघ्र लागू करने तथा व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
