सीएम की परिकल्पना से जिला प्रशासन शहर में यातायात प्रबंधन के साथ; कुठालगट एवं साई मंदिर पर नई स्लिप रोड कार्य रांउड अबाउट के साथ ही चौक चौराहें को पारंपरिक शैली में निर्मित, विकसित, विस्तारित कर किए जा रहे हैं, जिनका कार्य अंतिम चरण में है।

शहर में नव निर्माण और सौंदर्यीकरण कार्याे के लिए जिलाधिकारी ने स्मार्ट सिटी बजट से 10 करोड़ की धनराशि का प्राविधान किया है। इसके साथ ही लोक परंपरा, सांस्कृतिक धरोहर, और धार्मिक स्थलों की कलाकृतियों के साथ राज्य आंदोलनकारियों की स्मृतियों को भी चौराहों और मुख्य मार्गों पर प्रदर्शित कराया जा रहा है, ताकि देहरादून आने वाले पर्यटकों को यहां की सांस्कृतिक विरासत से रूबरू होने का अवसर मिल सके।

राजधानी देहरादून में सड़क सुरक्षा एवं सुरक्षित यातायात के लिए जिला प्रशासन प्रतिबद्व है। डीएम के निर्देश पर देहरादून के 11 प्रमुख जंक्शनों पर ट्रैफिक लाइट लगाने पूर्ण हो गया है, जिसके अन्तर्गत महाराणा प्रताप चौेक, नालपानी चौेक, मोथोरावाला, आईटी पार्क, टांस्पोर्टनगर में लाईट लगाने का कार्य पूर्ण हो गया है तथा प्रेमनगर चौक, सुधोवाला चौक, रांगड़वाला, धूलकोट तिराहा, सेलाकुई बाजार तिराहा, डाकपत्थर तिराहा में जल्द कार्य पूर्ण हो जाएगा। जिलाधिकारी के प्रयासों से शहर में 05 वर्षों में प्रथम बार प्रमुख चौराहों पर लगे पुलिस के सीसीटीवी कैमरे भी इंटीग्रेट करवाए जा चुके है। जिससे सड़को पर सुरक्षित यातायात की नियमित मॉनिटरिंग की जा रही है।
