मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बुधवार को दीपावली के अवसर पर सपरिवार चकराता रोड़ स्थित कुमार शॉप का भ्रमण कर स्थानीय विश्वकर्मा बंधुओं से द्वारा तैयार किये गए मिट्टी के दीपक तथा मूर्तियां क्रय की तथा डिजिटल पेमेन्ट के माध्यम से भुगतान किया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्थानीय स्तर पर छोटे कारीगर बड़ी मेहनत से दैनिक जीवन में उपयोग होने वाली वस्तुएं बनाते हैं। हाथ से निर्मित होने के चलते इन वस्तुओं की लागत अधिक आती है। उन्होंने सभी से अपील की है कि हस्त निर्मित स्थानीय उत्पादों को अधिक से अधिक क्रय करें जिससे इस पेशे से जुड़े लोगों की जीविका भी बनी रहे और स्थानीय उत्पादों को भी बढ़ावा मिले।
उन्होंने कहा कि इससे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के स्थानीय उत्पादों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए वोकल फॉर लोकल के संदेश को आत्मसात करने की भी सभी को प्रेरणा मिलेगी। उन्होने कहा कि स्थानीय उत्पादों को बढ़ावा देना विकसित भारत निर्माण का भी एक महत्वपूर्ण पहलू है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रकाश के पर्व दीपावली की सभी को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कामना की कि यह पावन पर्व सभी के जीवन में उत्साह, उमंग और उजाला लाए।
