प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के प्रस्तावित देहरादून भ्रमण एवं दिल्ली–देहरादून एक्सप्रेस हाईवे के लोकार्पण कार्यक्रम को लेकर जिला प्रशासन ने तैयारियां तेज कर दी हैं। इसी क्रम में जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल और वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक प्रमेन्द्र डोभाल ने शनिवार को प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों की टीम के साथ आशारोड़ी से गढ़ीकैंट स्थित महेन्द्र ग्राउंड तक सड़क मार्ग का स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर व्यवस्थाओं का जायजा लिया।

निरीक्षण के दौरान जिलाधिकारी ने राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग, एनएचएआई तथा लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि प्रधानमंत्री के कार्यक्रम को ध्यान में रखते हुए सड़क मार्ग से जुड़े सभी आवश्यक सुधार कार्य तत्काल पूरे किए जाएं। उन्होंने क्षतिग्रस्त डिवाइडरों की मरम्मत, पैचवर्क, दीवारों के रंग-रोगन तथा चौक-चौराहों के सौंदर्यीकरण के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही सड़क किनारे फैले मलवे की सफाई कर पूरे मार्ग को स्वच्छ और सुव्यवस्थित बनाने को कहा। सड़क किनारे क्षतिग्रस्त होर्डिंग्स को भी ठीक कराने के निर्देश दिए गए।

जिलाधिकारी ने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए निर्देश दिए कि पूरे मार्ग पर चाक-चौबंद सुरक्षा इंतजाम सुनिश्चित किए जाएं, ताकि आवागमन में किसी प्रकार की बाधा उत्पन्न न हो।

इसके उपरांत जिलाधिकारी ने गढ़ीकैंट स्थित महेन्द्र ग्राउंड में मुख्य कार्यक्रम स्थल का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया कि मुख्य पंडाल, आमजन के बैठने की व्यवस्था, वाहनों की पार्किंग, पेयजल, सूक्ष्म जलपान तथा मोबाइल शौचालय जैसी मूलभूत सुविधाएं समयबद्ध तरीके से सुनिश्चित की जाएं। साथ ही कार्यक्रम स्थल पर सुगम आवागमन के लिए विशेष व्यवस्थाएं करने को कहा।

जिलाधिकारी ने सभी विभागों को आपसी समन्वय के साथ सौंपे गए दायित्वों का प्रभावी ढंग से निर्वहन करने के निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि कार्यक्रम की तैयारियों में किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी।

निरीक्षण के दौरान वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक प्रमेन्द्र डोभाल, मुख्य विकास अधिकारी अभिनव शाह, संयुक्त मजिस्ट्रेट राहुल आनंद, नगर मजिस्ट्रेट प्रत्युष सिंह, उप जिलाधिकारी हरिगिरि, अपूर्वा सिंह, कुमकुम जोशी, संयुक्त सचिव गौरव चटवाल, लोनिवि के अधीक्षण अभियंता ओपी सिंह तथा एनएचएआई की प्रबंधक शालू चौहान सहित अन्य अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
