यमुनोत्री विधानसभा क्षेत्र अंतर्गत मोक्षा धरासू घाट के सामने रविवार देर शाम एक बड़ा हादसा होते-होते टल गया। अचानक हुए भूस्खलन की चपेट में एक वाहन आ गया, जिसमें चालक समेत सभी सवारियां मौजूद थीं। गनीमत रही कि सभी लोग बाल-बाल बच गए।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इस स्थान पर बीते छह महीनों से लगातार भूस्खलन हो रहा है, लेकिन इसके बावजूद शासन-प्रशासन द्वारा अब तक कोई ठोस और स्थायी समाधान नहीं किया गया है। आए दिन पत्थर और मलबा गिरने से यातायात बाधित होता है और लोगों की जान पर खतरा बना रहता है।

इस घटना के बाद कांग्रेस जिला महामंत्री नवीन सिंह भंडारी ने शासन और जिला प्रशासन पर गंभीर लापरवाही का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने कहा कि बार-बार चेतावनी और घटनाओं के बावजूद प्रशासन ने इस संवेदनशील स्थल पर कोई प्रभावी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था नहीं की, जो सरकार और प्रशासन की नाकामी को दर्शाता है।

नवीन सिंह भंडारी ने मांग की कि धरासू घाट में भूस्खलन प्रभावित क्षेत्र का ट्रीटमेंट कार्य तत्काल धरातल पर उतारा जाए, ताकि भविष्य में किसी बड़े हादसे से बचा जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि समय रहते ठोस कदम नहीं उठाए गए, तो किसी दिन बड़ी जनहानि हो सकती है, जिसकी जिम्मेदारी जिला प्रशासन और उत्तराखंड सरकार की होगी।
