विश्व मानक दिवस 2025 का आयोजन हिमालयन कल्चरल सेंटर, देहरादून में किया गया। इस वर्ष का विषय था — “एक बेहतर विश्व के लिए साझा दृष्टिकोण – सतत विकास लक्ष्यों के लिए मानक”। कार्यक्रम में उत्तराखंड के माननीय राज्यपाल, परमार्थ निकेतन आश्रम के परमाध्यक्ष स्वामी चिदानंद सरस्वती जी, राज्यसभा सांसद श्री नरेश बंसल, राज्यसभा सांसद श्रीमती कल्पना सैनी, तथा कैबिनेट मंत्री श्री गणेश जोशी मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे।
अपने संबोधन में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा कि सतत विकास लक्ष्य-17 की भावना के अनुरूप सभी को सामूहिक प्रयास करने होंगे। उन्होंने स्वदेशी उत्पादों एवं बीआईएस प्रमाणित वस्तुओं के उपयोग को बढ़ावा देने का आह्वान करते हुए कहा कि यही देश को आत्मनिर्भर और महान बनाएगा। राज्यपाल महोदय ने बीआईएस द्वारा गुणवत्ता जागरूकता के क्षेत्र में किए जा रहे कार्यों की सराहना की तथा उपस्थित सभी लोगों को गुणवत्ता प्रतिज्ञा (Quality Pledge) दिलाई। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को जीवन के हर निर्णय में गुणवत्ता को आधार बनाना चाहिए और इसे एक आदत के रूप में अपनाना चाहिए।
स्वामी चिदानंद सरस्वती जी,अध्यक्ष , परमार्थ निकेतन आश्रम, ने बीआईएस के स्वदेशी मानकों के विकास के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि स्वनियंत्रण, आत्मनिर्भरता और आत्मविश्वास ही देश के विकास की कुंजी हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जैसे-जैसे देश आत्मनिर्भर बनेगा, वह हर क्षेत्र में समृद्धि प्राप्त करेगा। उन्होंने बीआईएस से स्वदेशी उत्पादों के प्रचार-प्रसार को और बढ़ाने तथा गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण को जीवन का अभिन्न हिस्सा बनाने का आग्रह किया।
श्री नरेश बंसल, सांसद (राज्यसभा), ने बीआईएस को विश्व मानक दिवस पर बधाई दी और कहा कि गुणवत्ता और मानक देश के समग्र विकास में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं।
श्रीमती कल्पना सैनी, सांसद (राज्यसभा), ने युवाओं में गुणवत्ता चेतना विकसित करने में राष्ट्रीय मानक निकाय की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला और शैक्षणिक संस्थानों से बीआईएस के साथ सहयोग करने का आह्वान किया।
