कैदियों के लिए हेपेटाइटिस सी दवा लेकर हरिद्वार जेल पहुंचा ड्रोन

अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान, एम्स ऋषिकेश ने ड्रोन आधारित स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के माध्यम से बुधवार को हरिद्वार के रोशनाबाद स्थित जेल परिसर में हेपेटाइटिस की दवा पहुंचाने में सफलता हासिल की। वापसी में ड्रोन कुछ कैदियों के ब्लड सैंपल लेकर एम्स लौटा।

एम्स ऋषिकेश की ड्रोन मेडिकल सेवा नियमित स्तर पर राज्य के सुदूरवर्ती इलाकों तक दवा पहुंचाने का कार्य कर रही है। संस्थान द्वारा तकनीक आधारित इस मेडिकल सेवा का 2 साल पहले 16 फरवरी 2023 को पहला सफल ट्रायल किया गया था। उस दौरान पहली बार एम्स ने टिहरी के जिला चिकित्सालय में ड्रोन के माध्यम से टी.बी. की दवा पहुंचाई थी।

इसी क्रम में संस्थान द्वारा बुधवार को हरिद्वार जेल में कुछ कैदियों के लिए हेपेटाइटिस सी की दवा पहुंचाई गई। संस्थान की कार्यकारी निदेशक प्रो. मीनू सिंह ने ड्रोन को सुबह 11 बजे एम्स के हैलीपेड से हरिद्वार के लिए रवाना किया। करीब 28 मिनट बाद ड्रोन हरिद्वार के रोशनाबाद में स्थित जेल परिसर में पहुंचा। जहां जेल अधीक्षक मनोज कुमार आर्य और फार्मेसिस्टों ने दवाइयां प्राप्त कीं और वापसी में ड्रोन कुछ कैदियों के सैंपल भी लेकर आया है, जिन्हें जांच के लिए AIIMS की VRDL लैबोरेटरी भेजा गया है।

इस अवसर पर डा. अजीत भदौरिया ने कहा कि भारत में हेपेटाइटिस सी एक गंभीर स्वास्थ्य समस्या है, जिससे अनुमानित 6-10 मिलियन लोग प्रभावित हैं और इसकी राष्ट्रीय प्रसार दर लगभग 1 प्रतिशत है। इस सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य बोझ को कम करने के लिए, भारत सरकार ने जुलाई 2018 में राष्ट्रीय वायरल हेपेटाइटिस नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम (NVHCP) शुरू किया और हम ड्रोन के माध्यम से हेपेटाइटिस सी की दवाएं एवं सैंपल्स ट्रांसपोर्टेशन में उपयोग कर रहे हैं। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य वायरल हेपेटाइटिस के लिए व्यापक सेवाएं, जैसे कि जांच और उपचार, प्रदान करना है।

इस अवसर पर डा. रोहित गुप्ता, डा. योगेन्द्र प्रताप मथुरिया, ड्रोन सेवाओं के कंसल्टेंट डॉ. जितेन्द्र गैरोला, एसोसिएट कंसल्टेंट डा. हरदीप मनहास, तकनीकी अधिकारी पंकज ठाकुर और टैक ईगल कम्पनी के अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
