मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री ने युवाओं को एनसीसी से जोड़ने के लिए आग्रह किया है। एनसीसी युवाओं में अनुशासन, नेतृत्व और सेवा की भावना पैदा करती है । उन्होंने प्रदेश के युवाओं से अपील की है कि वे एनसीसी से अवश्य जुड़े। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा चलाया गया ‘एक पेड़ मां के नाम’ अभियान अब अन्य देशों में भी फैल रहा है, यह हमारे लिए गर्व का विषय है। उत्तराखण्ड में भी इस अभियान के तहत व्यापक स्तर पर वृक्षारोपण किया गया है।
