देहरादून 09 फरवरी । मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सोमवार को दून विश्वविद्यालय में डॉ. नित्यानंद की जन्मशताब्दी वर्ष के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने सतत हिमालयी पर्यावरण पुरस्कार 2025-26 से जयेंद्र सिंह राणा और संजय सत्यवली को सम्मानित किया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने डॉ. नित्यानंद को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने अपना संपूर्ण जीवन हिमालय, प्रकृति, समाज और राष्ट्र की सेवा में समर्पित किया। उनकी सोच हिमालय की चोटियों जैसी ऊंची और सेवा-भाव घाटियों जैसा गहरा था। उन्होंने कहा कि हिमालय की रक्षा, भारतीय सभ्यता और देश के भविष्य की रक्षा के समान है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि डॉ. नित्यानंद ने विज्ञान को अध्यात्म से, शोध को लोक जीवन से और चिंतन को राष्ट्रहित से जोड़ा। वे समाज के प्रत्येक वर्ग में राष्ट्रभाव और सामाजिक चेतना जगाते रहे। उन्होंने गांवों के सशक्तिकरण के लिए आजीवन कार्य किया और प्रतिवर्ष अपनी आय से लगभग 40 विद्यार्थियों को छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान करते थे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वर्ष 1991 की उत्तरकाशी और 1999 की चमोली आपदा के बाद डॉ. नित्यानंद ने स्वयंसेवकों के साथ राहत और पुनर्वास का ऐसा मॉडल प्रस्तुत किया, जिसे आज भी आदर्श माना जाता है। मनेरी गांव को केंद्र बनाकर 400 से अधिक भूकंप रोधी मकानों का निर्माण कराया गया तथा 50 से अधिक गांवों को मॉडल गांवों के रूप में विकसित किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि ‘उत्तरांचल दैवीय आपदा पीड़ित सहायता समिति’ के गठन के माध्यम से सेवा कार्यों को संस्थागत रूप दिया गया, जो आज भी देशभर में आपदाओं के समय मानवता की मिसाल है। देहरादून स्थित डॉ. नित्यानंद हिमालय शोध एवं अध्ययन केंद्र उनके विचारों को आगे बढ़ा रहा है और हिमालयी अध्ययन, सतत विकास तथा आपदा प्रबंधन में नई दिशा दे रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के मार्गदर्शन में राज्य सरकार हिमालय संरक्षण के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। डिजिटल मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम, ग्लेशियर रिसर्च, जल स्रोत संरक्षण अभियान जैसे अनेक प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। सिंगल यूज़ प्लास्टिक पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध लगाया गया है तथा डिजिटल डिपॉजिट रिफंड सिस्टम से अब तक 72 टन कार्बन उत्सर्जन कम किया गया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण संतुलन के लिए पौधारोपण, जल संरक्षण और जागरूकता अभियान चलाए जा रहे हैं। सौर ऊर्जा सहित अन्य हरित ऊर्जा स्रोतों को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है। पारंपरिक जल स्रोतों के संरक्षण हेतु ‘स्प्रिंग एंड रिवर रिजुविनेशन अथॉरिटी (SARRA)’ का गठन भी किया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी से अपील की कि जन्मदिन, विवाह वर्षगांठ या अन्य विशेष अवसरों पर एक पौधा अवश्य लगाएं और उसकी देखभाल भी करें।
इस अवसर पर आरएसएस के अखिल भारतीय कार्यकारिणी सदस्य डॉ. दिनेश, प्रांत प्रचारक डॉ. शैलेन्द्र, विधायक विनोद चमोली, विधायक मुन्ना सिंह चौहान, विधायक बृजभूषण गैरोला, डॉ. कमलेश कुमार, उत्तरांचल उत्थान परिषद के संरक्षक प्रेम बड़ाकोटी, कुलपति प्रो. सुरेखा डंगवाल, रविदेवानंद सहित अनेक लोग उपस्थित थे।
