मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व और प्रभावी प्रशासनिक निर्णयों के परिणामस्वरूप नैनीताल जनपद की बहुप्रतीक्षित कैंचीधाम बाईपास (सैनिटोरियम-रातीघाट) परियोजना तेजी से अपने निर्णायक चरण की ओर अग्रसर है। शनिवार को मुख्यमंत्री ने नैनीताल भ्रमण के दौरान इस महत्वपूर्ण परियोजना का स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर कार्यों की प्रगति की समीक्षा की।
निरीक्षण के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिकारियों से निर्माण कार्यों की विस्तृत जानकारी ली और स्पष्ट निर्देश दिए कि आगामी यात्रा एवं पर्यटन सीजन से पूर्व बाईपास मार्ग को पूर्ण कर यातायात के लिए खोलना सुनिश्चित किया जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि विश्व प्रसिद्ध श्री कैंचीधाम मंदिर में देश-विदेश से श्रद्धालुओं का निरंतर आगमन होता है। श्रद्धालुओं को सुचारु, सुरक्षित और सुविधाजनक यातायात व्यवस्था उपलब्ध कराना राज्य सरकार की सर्वाेच्च प्राथमिकता है। इसी उद्देश्य से कैंचीधाम बाईपास का निर्माण तेज़ी से कराया जा रहा है, जिससे वर्षों से चली आ रही ट्रैफिक जाम की समस्या का स्थायी समाधान संभव होगा।
लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधीक्षण अभियंता श्री मनोहर सिंह धर्मशक्तू ने अवगत कराया कि 18.15 किलोमीटर लंबे प्रस्तावित बाईपास मार्ग में से 8 किलोमीटर सड़क निर्माण कार्य पूर्ण कर हॉटमिक्स किया जा चुका है, जिसके लिए 12 करोड़ रुपये की धनराशि का प्रभावी उपयोग किया गया है। शेष 10.15 किलोमीटर मार्ग में पहाड़ कटिंग कार्य हेतु प्राप्त 5 करोड़ 6 लाख रुपये की धनराशि से कार्य पूर्ण किया जा चुका है। वर्तमान में इस खंड में 9 करोड़ 81 लाख रुपये की लागत से कलमठ निर्माण, सुरक्षा दीवारों का निर्माण एवं अन्य आवश्यक कार्य तेजी और गुणवत्ता के साथ प्रगति पर हैं।
परियोजना के अंतर्गत बाईपास को रातीघाट स्थित अल्मोड़ा राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग से जोड़ने हेतु 74.15 मीटर स्पान का मोटर पुल भी निर्मित किया जा रहा है। इसके लिए शासन से 9 करोड़ 63 लाख रुपये की स्वीकृति प्राप्त हो चुकी है और पुल निर्माण कार्य प्रारंभ कर दिया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस बाईपास के पूर्ण होने से न केवल कैंचीधाम में लगने वाले जाम से निजात मिलेगी, बल्कि पहाड़ी जनपदों की ओर जाने वाले यात्रियों को भी एक वैकल्पिक, सुगम और सुरक्षित मार्ग उपलब्ध होगा। यह परियोजना पर्यटन, धार्मिक यात्रा और स्थानीय आवागमन-तीनों के लिए मील का पत्थर सिद्ध होगी।
इसके उपरांत मुख्यमंत्री श्री धामी ने 9 करोड़ 99 लाख रुपये की लागत से निर्मित सैनिटोरियम से अल्मोड़ा मार्ग तक भवाली बाईपास सड़क एवं इसी मार्ग पर शिप्रा नदी पर निर्मित 30 मीटर स्पान के डबल लेन मोटर पुल का भी निरीक्षण किया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस बाईपास के चालू होने से भवाली बाजार में वर्षों से चली आ रही ट्रैफिक जाम की समस्या का समाधान होगा और पर्यटन सीजन में यात्रियों को निर्बाध आवागमन सुविधा मिलेगी।
निरीक्षण के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने निर्माण कार्य में लगे श्रमिकों से संवाद कर उनके कार्यों की सराहना की तथा उनके कल्याण और सुरक्षा के संबंध में आवश्यक निर्देश दिए।
क्षेत्र भ्रमण के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने बर्फबारी देखने पहुंचे देश के विभिन्न राज्यों से आए पर्यटकों से भी बातचीत की। पर्यटकों ने उत्तराखंड की प्राकृतिक सुंदरता, बेहतर व्यवस्थाओं और सुरक्षित वातावरण की प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि उन्हें यहां किसी प्रकार की असुविधा नहीं हुई है और वे भविष्य में भी यहां आते रहेंगे।
