सतपुली, पौड़ी 10 मई। प्रदेश के लोक निर्माण, सिंचाई, पर्यटन, ग्रामीण निर्माण, धर्मस्व एवं संस्कृति मंत्री एवं चौबट्टाखाल विधायक सतपाल महाराज तथा उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. धन सिंह रावत ने रविवार को सतपुली के खैरासैंण में नवनिर्मित राजकीय महाविद्यालय भवन का उद्घाटन किया। इस दौरान दोनों मंत्रियों ने इसे क्षेत्र में उच्च शिक्षा को नई दिशा देने वाला महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया।

 

कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि यह केवल भवन का उद्घाटन नहीं, बल्कि क्षेत्र के युवाओं के भविष्य और आत्मनिर्भरता की मजबूत नींव है। उन्होंने कहा कि पहाड़ के दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों में वर्षों से छात्र-छात्राओं, विशेषकर बेटियों को उच्च शिक्षा के लिए लंबी दूरी तय करनी पड़ती थी, लेकिन अब स्थानीय स्तर पर आधुनिक सुविधाओं से युक्त महाविद्यालय उपलब्ध होने से युवाओं को बड़ा लाभ मिलेगा।

 

उन्होंने कहा कि महाविद्यालय में अत्याधुनिक कक्षाएं, विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला, कंप्यूटर लैब और पुस्तकालय जैसी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध होंगी। साथ ही उन्होंने छात्र-छात्राओं से शिक्षा के माध्यम से प्रदेश और गढ़वाल का नाम रोशन करने का आह्वान किया।

 

इस अवसर पर उच्च शिक्षा निदेशक बी.आर. खाली, महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. संजय, भाजपा प्रदेश कार्यालय सचिव बृजमोहन, भाजपा मंडल अध्यक्ष राकेश नैथानी, सर्वेन्द्र सिंह, भाजपा युवा मोर्चा जिला महामंत्री पंकज डोबरियाल, गणेश रावत, अंकित ठाकुर और सुरेन्द्र बिष्ट समेत कई लोग मौजूद रहे।

 

वहीं, कैबिनेट मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने सतपुली झील निर्माण कार्यों का भी निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को गुणवत्ता के साथ निर्माण कार्य समय पर पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए।

 

महाराज ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के विजन और मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश में विकास कार्य तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सतपुली नगर पंचायत क्षेत्र में करीब 56 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बहुप्रतीक्षित झील का निर्माण कार्य तेजी से चल रहा है। झील बनने से पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिलने के साथ स्थानीय व्यापार और रोजगार के नए अवसर भी सृजित होंगे।
