देहरादून में प्रेस क्लब में किकबॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया की एक प्रेस कांफ्रेंस का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे किकबॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्री योगेश कुमार, उपाध्यक्ष श्री संदीप शर्मा, सह सचिव मुन्ना प्रसाद एवं किकबॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया के प्रिंट पब्लिकेशन के सचिव श्री राजेश कुमार उपस्थित थे। राष्ट्रिय अध्यक्ष श्री योगेश जी ने बताया की यह प्रेस कांफ्रेंस का आयोजन हमारी आने वाली नेशनल प्रतियोगिता को ले कर किया जा रहा है।

किकबॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया (KFI) का पंजीकरण वर्ष 2008 में किया गया था, जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य इस खेल को भारत वर्ष के हर क्षेत्र में जमीनीं स्तर पर विस्तार करने का था। KFI आज पुरे भारतवर्ष में लगभग 16 सीनियर, 15 जूनियर और 14 राष्ट्रीय सब जूनियर प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन करवा चुकी है। इतना ही नहीं पिछले 16 से 17 वर्षों में किकबॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया ने लगभग 4 वर्ल्ड चैम्पियशिप और 4 ओपन इंटरनेशनल इवेंट में टीम इंडिया ने भाग लिया जिसमे करीब 67 से भी ज्यादा स्वर्ण, रजत और कांस्य पदक जीत कर भारत देश का नाम विश्वभर में रोशन किया।

करीब चार वर्षों तक अमर शहीद जनरल बिपिन रावत जी भी KFI फेडरेशन के साथ जुड़े रहे और उन्होंने इस खेल के लिए काफी बड़ी योजना भी बनायीं थी लेकिन हमारा और देश का दुर्भाग्य था कि वह अचानक एक हादसे की वजह से हमारे बीच में नहीं रहे लेकिन उनका जो सपना था इस खेल के प्रति उसको आगे बढ़ाने के लिए हमारे नए चीफ पैट्रन मेजर जनरल GD बक्शी जी (रिटायर) हमारे साथ इस मिशन में शामिल हुए। जनरल बिपिन रावत जी का उत्तराखंड में प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कराने का ख्याल वर्ष 2021 में ही आ चुका था, जब हम मेजर जनरल बिपिन रावत जी से टीम इंडिया को लेकर मिले, तो उन्होंने खेल को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए अपनी योजना हमें बताई और कहा की इसका आयोजन निकट भविष्य में उत्तराखंड में भी होना चाहिए।

उनके उस विचार से प्रेरणा लेकर ही आज हम लोग आपके सामने उपस्थित हुए है। जैसे ही हमने इस बात को GD बक्शी सर के साथ सांझा किया इस इवेंट को करवाने के लिए उन्होंने तुरंत हमें अनुमति दे दी।

आज हम आपके समक्ष मुख्य रूप से दो चीजों को लेकर उपस्थित हुए है प्रथम नेशनल प्रतियोगिता और दूसरी KFI उत्तराखंड यूनिट को पुनर्गठित करना। किकबॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया अपनी इस वर्ष की 17 राष्ट्रिय सीनियर, 16 वी जूनियर और 15 वी सब जूनियर प्रत्योगिता का आयोजन देहरादून में करने जा रही है जिसकी तिथि 27 से 30 सितम्बर निर्धारित की गयी है। आप सभी से विनम्र निवेदन यह है कि आप अपना प्यार और स्नेह हमारे बच्चो के साथ बनाये रखे और ज्यादा से ज्यादा कवरेज उनको दे।
