केन्द्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड शैक्षणिक ज्ञान और वास्तविक दुनिया के बीच अंतर को खत्म करने के लिए स्किल एजुकेशन को लेकर कई बड़े फैसले ले चुका है। एजुकेशन सिस्टम में कई बदलाव भी किए हैं। बोर्ड ने सभी सम्बद्ध स्कूलों को कौशल शिक्षा से संबंधित सर्कुलर जारी किया है। साथ ही बोर्ड द्वारा किए गए कुछ पहलों लागू करने का निर्देश भी दिया है।
नोटिस में सीबीएसई ने कहा, ” स्कूलों बिना देरी इन पहलों को तत्काल लागू करने करने और अपने पाठ्यक्रम में कौशल शिक्षा को शामिल करें। व्यावसायिक विषयों को शुरू करें, कौशल प्रयोगशाला स्थापित करें। व्यावहारिक शिक्षा के अवसर प्रदान करने के लिए सक्रीय कदम उठाकर आपका स्कूल राष्ट्र के लिए कुशल और आत्मनिर्भर कार्य बाल बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे सकता है।” इतना ही बोर्ड ने सभी स्कूलों से प्रतिक्रिया, सुझाव और सफलता की कहानियाँ भी मांगी है।
सीबीएसई ने कक्षा 6 से 12वीं के छात्रों के लिए कौशल मॉड्यूल पेश किए हैं। छात्र एक शैक्षणिक सत्र में एक ही अधिक मॉड्यूल चुन सकते है। यह मॉड्यूल कक्षाओं के माध्यम से या हॉबी क्लब के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन पेश किए जाते हैं। इसमें एक ही विषय या अलग-अलग विषय शामिल हो सकते हैं। किसी भी कौशल मॉड्यूल को चुनने वाले छात्र अपने पहले मॉड्यूल से शुरू करेंगे और फिर अगले उपलब्ध मॉड्यूल पर जाएंगे। इसके लिए पोर्टल भी डेवलप किया है।कक्षा 9 से 10 में 22 कौशल विषय और 11वीं से 12वीं में 43 कौशल विषय का ऑप्शन बोर्ड द्वारा दिया जाता है। इन विषयों की सूची संबंधित नौकरी भूमिका से जुड़ी होती हो। स्कूलों में कौशल विषयों को बढ़ाने के लिए प्रयोगशालाओ को बनाने का निर्देश भी दिया गया है।
