देहरादून, 23 अक्टूबर 2024: ऋषिकेश के त्रिवेणी घाट से चंद्रभागा नदी तक में अवैध खनन की जनहित याचिका को लेकर जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल ने आज त्रिवेणी घाट का समिति के सदस्यों के साथ संयुक्त निरीक्षण किया गया।
जिलाधिकारी ने सम्बन्धित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि आसपास के सीसीटीवी कैमरे की फुटेज निकलवाने के निर्देश दिए यदि कहीं अवैध खनन की पुष्टि होती है तो सम्बन्धित के विरूद्ध कार्यवाही की जाएगी। साथ ही निर्देश दिए कि विज्ञप्ति प्रकाशित करें कि यदि उस दौरान अवैध खनन के किसी के पास साक्ष्य फोटो, वीडियो, इत्यादि हों तो वह कार्यालय में प्रस्तुत कर सकते हैं, जिस पर सम्बन्धित के विरूद्ध नियमानुसार कड़ी कार्यवाही की जाएगी।
ज्ञातब्य है कि बरसात के मौसम में काफ़ी मात्रा में सिल्ट जमा हो जाता है, जनमानस की समस्या एवं सुझाव के दृष्टिगत नीलामी की प्रक्रिया शुरू की गई थी, जिस पर एक जनहित याचिका का एनजीटी द्वारा संज्ञान लेते हुए जिलाधिकारी को प्रेषित किया गया था। माननीय एनजीटी के निर्देश के क्रम में आज जिलाधिकारी द्वारा समिति के सदस्यों अधिकारियों के साथ निरीक्षण किया गया।
निरीक्षण के दौरान नगर आयुक्त ऋषिकेश शैलेंद्र सिंह, उप जिलाधिकारी ऋषिकेश स्मृति परमार, जिला खान अधिकारी, सिंचाई, नगर निगम, आदि विभागों के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
