मुख्य सचिव श्रीमती राधा रतूड़ी ने खनन विभाग को भारत सरकार तथा माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी के विज़न के अनुरूप खनिज संपदा में आत्मनिर्भरता बनाए रखने हेतु राज्य में खनिज संपदा की खोज के सम्बन्ध में वर्किंग प्लान बनाने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
सचिवालय में खनन विभाग, आईआईटी रुड़की, मोनाश यूनिवर्सिटी ऑस्ट्रेलिया तथा उद्यम प्रतिनिधियों के साथ बैठक करते हुए मुख्य सचिव श्रीमती राधा रतूड़ी ने राज्य में दुर्लभ खनिजों ( Critical Mineral ) के अनुसंधान हेतु उत्तराखंड सरकार तथा आईआईटी रुड़की के मध्य भागीदारी पर विस्तृत चर्चा की।
मुख्य सचिव श्रीमती राधा रतूड़ी ने खनन विभाग आईआईटी रुड़की तथा उद्यमियों को क्रिटिकल मिनरल की खोज, निष्कासन, प्रसंस्करण तथा रिसाइकलिंग हेतु कार्य प्रणाली ( Methodology ) विकसित करने हेतु R & D पर फोकस करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
मुख्य सचिव श्रीमती राधा रतूड़ी ने राज्य में खनिज सम्पदा में आत्मनिर्भरता हेतु राज्य सरकार, शिक्षा क्षेत्र और उद्योग जगत के बीच सहयोग, साझेदारी और पूरकता के सिद्धांतों पर एक साझा मंच विकसित करने की दिशा में कार्य करने के निर्देश दिए हैँ।
सीएस श्रीमती रतूड़ी ने कहा है कि महत्वपूर्ण खनिजों के मूल्यांकन, अन्वेषण, निष्कर्षण, खनन स्थिरता और आपूर्ति श्रृंखला विश्लेषण में अग्रणी विशेषज्ञों का सहयोग लेना आवश्यक है, जिसमें आईआईटी रुड़की की प्रमुख भूमिका होगी।
मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि महत्वपूर्ण खनिज प्रौद्योगिकियों में विशेषज्ञता विकसित करने के लिए विशेष प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम, कार्यशालाएं और व्यावहारिक अनुसंधान तथा क्षमता निर्माण को मजबूत करना आवश्यक है।
