मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि 2022 विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले हमने उत्तराखंड की जनता के सामने समान नागरिक संहिता लागू करने का संकल्प रखा था। उन्होंने कहा जनता ने हमें अपना आशीर्वाद दिया। सरकार बनने के बाद सबसे पहले मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक में समान नागरिक संहिता के लिए कमेटी का गठन किया गया। जिसके बाद प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में उत्तराखंड की राज्य सरकार ने देश की आजादी के बाद सबसे पहले उत्तराखंड में समान नागरिक संहिता लागू किया।
