जिलाधिकारी आशीष भटगांई ने गुरुवार को जिला एंटी इलीगल माइनिंग फोर्स के साथ कांडा अन्तर्गत खनन क्षेत्रों का भ्रमण किया। तथा खड़िया खुदानों के मानकों की बारीकी से जांच पड़ताल की। जिलाधिकारी ने छह खड़िया खुदानों का स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर जायजा लिया।
जिसमें खनन खुदानों में वैज्ञानिक तकनीकी पहलुओं को देखा गया। साथ ही खुदानों में पैच निर्माण,वृक्षारोपण,श्रमिकों को रहने की व्यवस्था के साथ ही,पीपीएफ,इंश्योरेंस एवं ग्रामीणों को दी जाने वाली सुविधाओं,सीसीटीवी आदि के बारे में पड़ताल की। उसके बाद जिलाधिकारी ने कान्डे कन्याल में ग्रामीणों के आवसीय भवनों में आयी दरारों का भी निरीक्षण किया। तथा हर सम्भव मदद करने का भरोसा दिया।
जिलाधिकारी ने सम्बंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि मा.उच्च न्यायालय नैनीताल द्वारा पारित आदेश का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित किया जाए। उन्होंने खड़िया खदानों में पैनी निगरानी रखते हुए अवैध अतिक्रमण व खनन पर नियमानुसार कड़ी कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए। जिलाधिकारी ने मौके पर जिला खान अधिकारी,वन व राजस्व विभाग को खनन खुदानों के मानकों की बारीकी से जांच पड़ताल करने के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही जिले एवं तहसील स्तर पर गठित निरोधक दल को नियमित सक्रियता व तत्परता से कार्य करने के कड़े निर्देश देते हुए अवैध खनन,अतिक्रमण आदि को लेकर सम्बंधित के खिलाफ नियमानुसार कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए है।
निरीक्षण के दौरान डीएफओ ध्रुव सिंह मर्तोलिया,जिला खान अधिकारी नाजिया हसन,सहायक भूवैज्ञानिक सुनील दत्ततहसीलदार दलीप सिंह,जिला आपदा प्रबंधन अधिकारी शिखा सुयाल सहित अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
