देहरादून: गंगानगरी ऋषिकेश में प्रमुख बाजारों और मार्गों पर बिजली लाइन अंडरग्राउंड की जाएगी। इसके लिए केंद्र सरकार ने 547 करोड़ रुपए की मंजूरी प्रदान की है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इसके लिए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का आभार व्यक्त किया है।
ऋषिकेश कुंभ क्षेत्र (गंगा कॉरिडोर) में विद्युत लाइनों के भूमिगतीकरण तथा ऋषिकेश, हरिद्वार एवं देहरादून में विद्युत प्रणाली को स्वचालित (स्काडा) किए जाने हेतु प्रस्तावित डी.पी.आर. के सापेक्ष केंद्र सरकार से कुल रू० 547.83 करोड़ की स्वीकृति प्राप्त हुई है।
बिजली लाइन भूमिगत किए जाने से ऋषिकेश शहर के नागरिकों को विशेष सुविधा मिलेगी। इससे भीड़ भरे बाजारों से तारों का जाल हट पाएगा, साथ ही सड़कों बाजारों में आवाजाही भी सुगम हो पाएगी।
उत्तराखंड सरकार लगातार विद्युत अवसंरचना के आधुनिकीकरण का प्रयास कर रही है। अंडरग्राउंड केबलिंग से विद्युत आपूर्ति अधिक स्थिर होगी, साथ ही आपदा और प्रतिकूल मौसम के कारण पैदा होने वाले अवरोधों से सुरक्षा मिलेगी, रखरखाव की लागत घटेगी तथा शहर का सौंदर्य भी बेहतर होगा। इस वित्तीय सहायता के लिए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का विशेष आभार।
