समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत और प्रकृति से जुड़ाव का प्रतीक हरेला पर्व आज जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग में पूरे उत्साह और भक्ति भाव के साथ मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर जिला प्रशासन द्वारा एक विशेष वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया, जिसका नेतृत्व स्वयं जिलाधिकारी प्रतीक जैन द्वारा किया गया।।

कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आयोजन जवाड़ी स्थित रतनपुर क्षेत्र में हुआ, जहां जिलाधिकारी के मार्गदर्शन में जनपद के विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों, स्कूल-कॉलेजों के छात्र-छात्राओं, एनसीसी/एनएसएस स्वयंसेवकों एवं स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने बढ़-चढ़ कर भाग लिया।इस दौरान जिलाधिकारी द्वारा सभी उपस्थित लोगों को मतदाता जागरूकता की शपथ भी दिलाई गई।

इस अवसर पर जिलाधिकारी प्रतीक जैन ने कहा कि, “हरेला पर्व केवल एक परंपरा नहीं, बल्कि हमारे पर्यावरण के प्रति आभार प्रकट करने और उसे संरक्षित रखने का अवसर है। इस पर्व के माध्यम से जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग में पूरे माह को वृक्षारोपण महाअभियान के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है। हमारा लक्ष्य इस माह 40 हज़ार से अधिक पौधे लगाने का है।उन्होंने कहा कि यह कार्य केवल वन विभाग या प्रशासन तक सीमित नहीं रहेगा, बल्कि ग्राम स्तर तक सभी विभागों, स्कूलों, स्वयंसेवी संस्थाओं और आमजन को जोड़कर ग्रीन रुद्रप्रयाग अभियान चलाया जाएगा। सड़कों के किनारे, विद्यालय परिसर, अस्पताल, कार्यालय भवन, खेल मैदान और मंदिर परिसर जैसी जगहों पर भी पौधारोपण किया जाएगा।उन्होंने बच्चों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, आप सभी इन पौधों के संरक्षक बनें, जैसे ही ये पौधे बड़े होंगे, वैसे ही एक हराभरा रुद्रप्रयाग भी उभरेगा।

इस दौरान आयोजित कार्यक्रम में प्रभागीय वन अधिकारी कल्याणी, पुलिस अधीक्षक अक्षय प्रह्लाद कोंडे, मुख्य विकास अधिकारी राजेन्द्र सिंह रावत, डिप्टी डायरेक्टर जलागम आर.पी. सिंह, अपर जिलाधिकारी श्याम सिंह राणा, मुख्य शिक्षा अधिकारी प्रमेन्द्र बिष्ट, अधिशासी अभियंता ग्रामीण निर्माण विभाग नीलम गुलाटी, उपजिलाधिकारी रुद्रप्रयाग याक्षी अरोड़ा सहित बड़ी संख्या में विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी-कर्मचारी मौजूद रहे।
