जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग के ऊखीमठ तहसील के देवर गांव की होनहार बेटी अंजली ने गोवा में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय रेड रन मैराथन में 10 किलोमीटर दौड़ में देशभर में दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त कर उत्तराखंड का नाम रोशन किया। इस ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि से पूरे जनपद में खुशी का माहौल है।
इस मैराथन का आयोजन राष्ट्रीय एड्स नियंत्रण संगठन (नाको) द्वारा एचआईवी नियंत्रण और जागरूकता के लिए किया गया था। ये आयोजन 18 जनवरी को गोवा में आयोजित किया गया था।देश के 26 राज्यों के प्रतिभागियों ने इसमें हिस्सा लिया।
केंद्रीय ऊर्जा मंत्री श्रीपद येसीनाइक ने इस आयोजन का शुभारंभ किया।अंजली के पिता भरत सिंह अपनी बेटी की इस उपलब्धि पर गर्व महसूस कर रहे हैं। इससे पहले अंजली ने राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में भी जीत हासिल कर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी जगह बनाई थी।
राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर दूसरे स्थान पर आने के लिए अंजली को केंद्रीय ऊर्जा मंत्री द्वारा 35,000 रुपये की नगद धनराशि का पुरस्कार दिया गया। उन्होंने न केवल उत्तराखंड का मान बढ़ाया, बल्कि अन्य युवाओं के लिए प्रेरणा भी बन गईं।अंजली की इस सफलता ने यह साबित कर दिया है कि उत्तराखंड के युवाओं में अद्भुत क्षमता है। वह आने वाले समय में और भी ऊंचाइयों को छूने का हौसला रखती हैं।
