भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के स्थापना दिवस 25 जनवरी के अवसर पर देहरादून के लोकभवन ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित 16वें राज्य स्तरीय राष्ट्रीय मतदाता दिवस समारोह में जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग को ‘State Best Electoral Practices Award–2026’ प्रदान किया गया। कार्यक्रम में माननीय राज्यपाल मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में मौजूद रहे।
प्री-एसआईआर (Pre-Special Intensive Revision) के दौरान मतदाताओं के सुव्यवस्थित, सटीक एवं तकनीकी आधार पर किए गए मैपिंग कार्य के लिए रुद्रप्रयाग जनपद को यह सम्मान मिला। इस उपलब्धि के लिए जिलाधिकारी एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी रुद्रप्रयाग प्रतीक जैन को मंच पर सम्मानित किया गया।
जनपद में मतदाता मैपिंग की प्रक्रिया भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुरूप उच्च स्तर की पारदर्शिता, सटीकता और प्रभावी समन्वय के साथ पूरी की गई, जिससे निर्वाचन अभिलेखों की विश्वसनीयता और गुणवत्ता में उल्लेखनीय सुधार हुआ।
यह पुरस्कार जनपद प्रशासन की दक्ष कार्यशैली, टीम भावना और निर्वाचन दायित्वों के प्रति गंभीरता का परिचायक है।
इस अवसर पर रुद्रप्रयाग के अतिरिक्त बागेश्वर, उत्तरकाशी एवं चम्पावत जनपदों को भी सम्मानित किया गया।
