कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने पतित-पावनी मां गंगा के श्रीचरणों में नमन करते हुए कहा कि मधुबनी की शान, भजनों एवं लोकगीतों की स्वर साधिका तथा देश की सबसे युवा विधायक सुश्री मैथिली ठाकुर जैसी प्रतिभा का योगनगरी ऋषिकेश की पावन धरा पर आगमन सभी के लिए सौभाग्य का विषय है। उन्होंने पूज्य संतगणों एवं देश-प्रदेश से पधारे श्रद्धालुओ का हार्दिक स्वागत एवं अभिनंदन किया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने इस विशिष्ट कार्यक्रम के लिए आयोजकों का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि गंगा के पवित्र तट पर आयोजित यह बसंतोत्सव भजन संध्या संस्कृति और संगीत के अनुपम संगम के माध्यम से लोक संस्कृति और सनातन परंपरा को जन-जन तक पहुंचाने का सराहनीय प्रयास है। उन्होंने ऋषिकेश बसंतोत्सव समिति को इस भव्य और भक्तिमय आयोजन के लिए बधाई दी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि ऋषिकेश आधुनिक योग और अध्यात्म का प्रमुख केंद्र होने के साथ-साथ सनातन संस्कृति की प्राचीन पुण्य भूमि भी है। सतयुग में इस धरा पर महर्षि रैभ्य को भगवान विष्णु के दर्शन हुए, त्रेतायुग में भगवान श्रीराम ने रावण वध के पश्चात यहीं तपस्या की तथा भरत जी ने भगवान नारायण की स्थापना कर पूजन किया। कालांतर में आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य द्वारा भी इस भूमि पर विशेष पूजन किया गया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि मैथिली ठाकुर ने अपनी साधना, प्रतिभा और संकल्प से यह सिद्ध किया है कि समर्पण, परिश्रम, भक्ति और सेवा भाव से समाज में बड़ा परिवर्तन लाया जा सकता है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि मैथिली ठाकुर की जीवन यात्रा यह दर्शाती है कि कला और संस्कृति केवल मंच तक सीमित नहीं रहती, बल्कि समाज सेवा और राष्ट्र निर्माण की प्रेरणा भी बनती है। जब आज अनेक युवा पश्चिमी संगीत की ओर आकर्षित हो रहे हैं, तब मधुबनी से निकली इस युवा प्रतिभा ने अपनी जड़ों से जुड़े रहते हुए मैथिली और भोजपुरी लोक संगीत को जन-जन तक पहुंचाया है। उन्होंने वर्ष 2024 में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा उन्हें ‘कल्चरल एंबेसडर ऑफ द ईयर’ के नेशनल क्रिएटर्स अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किए जाने का उल्लेख भी किया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमारे शास्त्रों में गीत और संगीत के माध्यम से की गई उपासना को ईश्वर से सीधे संवाद का मार्ग बताया गया है। सच्चे मन से की गई स्वर साधना कलाकार को समाज का पथ-प्रदर्शक बना देती है। उन्होंने कहा कि मैथिली ठाकुर जैसी विभूतियां यह स्मरण कराती हैं कि भारत की आत्मा आज भी गांवों की चौपालों, मंदिरों की घंटियों, लोकगीतों की धुनों और मां गंगा की लहरों में जीवित है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि दून विश्वविद्यालय में “सेंटर फॉर हिन्दू स्टडीज” की स्थापना कर संस्कृति और दर्शन के अध्ययन को सुदृढ़ किया गया है। साथ ही गढ़वाल और कुमाऊं मंडलों में एक-एक स्पिरिचुअल इकोनॉमिक ज़ोन की स्थापना की योजना पर भी कार्य किया जा रहा है।
